Museum's C-124 and C-141 will be moved to the area above by the middle of 2005.

The 2003 McChord Air Expo was the last of two popular attractions for thousands of air show visitors since the late 80's. By June 2005, the Museums C-124 Globemaster and C-141 will be a centerpiece of a new park for the McChord community. The area will be east of  "Overlook Hill" which is adjacent to the Bases taxiway, and will also provide a staging area for many Base activities including The Air Mobility Command's Airlift Rodeo, that will next be held in June 2005.

The Museums C-141 is currently undergoing extensive preparations for its new home, which will include a brand new paint scheme, a “retro” look. The "Tacoma Starlifter” will once again wear the familiar "white top" from its Military Airlift Command days. Updates will appear on the  "Restoration Hangar" found on this website.
